With this year’s BPM event not far away, CHAUVET DJ is preparing to showcase a wide range of brand-new products, including the new D-Fi USB series of innovative wireless fixtures, as the company celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The annual event, which takes place this September at the NEC Birmingham, will see CHAUVET demonstrating the Intimidator Trio, the SWARM 4 FX, the COREpar 40 USB, COREpar 80 USB, the COREpar UV USB, and the fixtures in its exciting new D-Fi USB series.

Using CHAUVET DJ’s new thumb-sized D-Fi USB transceiver, mobile DJs can connect to any D-Fi USB-compatible fixture wirelessly, eliminating the need to use DMX cables. This D-Fi USB transceiver simply plugs into the fixture’s standard USB connection and is powered by the unit itself. Once connected, users can then control the fixture wirelessly via CHAUVET DJ’s FlareCON Air or any D-Fi-compatible transmitter, granting them operation over a variety of CHAUVET effects from low-profile LEDs pars and COB colour washes, to LED strobing and stimulated water effects. In addition, users can also use the D-Fi USB to set up completely wireless master/slave operation – ideal for those mobile DJs looking to avoid the complexities of DMX programming.

CHAUVET DJ will also showcase its new Intimidator Trio, which builds on the company’s much-revered Intimidator series. Utilising an LED-powered moving head, the Trio offers beam, wash and continuously-rotating honeycomb effects in one affordable package, with its motorised zoom allowing users to switch smoothly between narrow beams and wide washes.

The new Swarm 4 FX will be on display too, featuring a 3-in-1 LED effect that incorporates red and green lasers, white strobing and RGBAW rotating-derby effects into one fixture. Ideal for mobile DJs that want an all-in-one package that can be used at a range of events, the Swarm 4 FX also offers separate colour and program control, allowing them to create customised displays. The fixture can also be power-linked to generate a synchronised lightshow.

Elsewhere at BPM, CHAUVET will showcase its new COREpar 40 USB, COREpar 80 USB and COREpar UV USB – a series of products that feature COB (Chip-on-Board) RGB LEDs, for smooth colour mixing, and come in 40W, 80W and UV-enhanced par-style models. In addition, mobile DJs can utilise the units’ magnetic Fresnel lenses, which provide the flexibility to shift from wide to narrow beams in seconds. In terms of control, the models in the series offer DMX, master/slave and sound-to-light modes, as well as being compatible with the aforementioned D-Fi USB transceiver for wireless control.

“BPM is an extremely important show for CHAUVET DJ as it allows us to interact directly with our customers,” said CHAUVET General Manager for Europe, Michael Brooksbank. “With DJs and entertainers looking to add a new dimension to their lightshow – whether uplighting a room with changing colours or creating eye-candy aerial beam effects – the CHAUVET DJ stand will cater for all needs.”

Mr Brooksbank added: “We’re very enthused about our new products and we look forward to showing them. It should be a very busy show for CHAUVET DJ.”

BPM 2015 takes place from Saturday the 12th to Monday the 14th of September at the NEC in Birmingham, this year featuring a dedicated ‘Mobile DJ Village’.
