HARMAN Professional Solutions has announced that the new RUSH™ SM 650 and RUSH™ SM 850 fog machines from Martin are now shipping. The much-anticipated updates of the original Magnum machines will provide mobile DJs with portable solutions that offer a range of new features.

Building on Martin’s original Magnum 650 and Magnum 850 fog machines, the new RUSH SM 650 and 850 are just two of several products in the company’s new RUSH line of atmospheric effects. As well as being designed to offer a clean, industrial look, the new machines are complemented by features including a four-channel wireless remote control system and a blue LED-illuminated fluid container with a rear-view indicator for quick refills during busy events.

Great for filling dance-floors, function rooms and small venues with fog, capable of enhancing moving heads and creating an atmosphere, the new machines offer powerful heater elements and quick heat-up times to enable DJs to fill spaces with fog quickly.

“I am happy to announce the shipping release of the RUSH SM 650 and 850,” said Mark Buss, Product Manager for Martin RUSH. “With an extremely high number of pre-sold units, I am confident that they will soon be seen in action with mobile DJs and local night venues.”

The RUSH SM 650 utilises a 700W element, 1.3-litre fluid capacity and a five-minute heat-up time to offer an output of 160m3 per minute. Meanwhile, ensuring greater coverage, the RUSH SM 850 is fitted with an 850W element, a larger 1.6-litre fluid reservoir and an eight-minute heat-up time, resulting in an output of 200m3 per minute.

Whichever model users choose, the new machines allow spaces to be easily filled with fog in under ten-minutes, while their durable steel housing and handheld remote make them further suited to the needs of mobile DJs. Boasting compact design, simple-to-use operation and convenient carrying handles, the RUSH SM 650 and 850 allow users to take these atmospherics on the road with them as part of their mobile setup and weigh in at 4.3kg and 7.3kg, respectively.
