Building on its popular CD MIX product, Numark has announced the release of an updated version called the CD MIX USB, which adds dual USB-drive playback capability, allowing mobile DJs to incorporate their portable digital music collections, alongside CDs.
The new CD MIX USB from Numark is a self-contained DJ system equipped with dual CD and USB players, complete with mixer and cueing, offering a simple solution for playing back their music collection from both USB drives and CDs. For mobile DJs, this means making their music collection more portable, carrying music on USB drives instead of CDs and limiting the need for a laptop.
The system combines two CD/USB controllers into one single chassis, but each ‘separate’ controller comes complete with jog wheel, built-in effects, microphone input, aux input, balanced output, mixer, fader and cueing function. Numark has also fitted the system with two headphone jacks, allowing mobile DJs to monitor their mixes effectively.
“DJs love this configuration – it’s compact, self-contained and complete: it has everything the DJ needs to deliver a great time,” said Chris Roman, Senior Product Manager for Numark. “With the addition of the USB drive capability, DJs have the flexibility to bring an entire music collection on USB, either in addition to or in place of traditional CDs. CD MIX USB really opens up the playback options for the DJ, while retaining the great performance and trim size of the original.”
