Pioneer DJ has announced that Serato DJ is now officially compatible with its flagship NXS2 DJ hardware setup. This is part of the new Pioneer DJ Certification Program, an initiative to evaluate products from other companies and certify them as compatible with Pioneer DJ gear so that DJs know they can use them together with confidence.

The CDJ-2000NXS2 multiplayer can now be used to intuitively control Serato DJ, including scratching and tempo adjustment, without the need for a control CD. The deck also displays track titles, artwork, waveform and other information from the software, so users can quickly select their next track without looking at their computer.

The DJM-900NXS2 mixer has also been certified as compatible with Serato DJ DVS. DJs can simply connect their DJM-900NXS2 to their PC/Mac to instantly use Serato DJ’s hands-on NoiseMap™ feature to control digital audio files on the computer using turntables (with the Serato DJ control vinyl) or via the jog wheels on multiplayers (using Serato control CDs).

In order to use USB-HID control, DJs will need the latest version of Serato DJ (1.9.5) and also need to ensure that their CDJ-2000NXS2 is running the latest firmware.

To use the DVS feature with the DJM-900NXS2, DJs will need the latest version of Serato DJ (1.9.5) and the Serato DJ DVS Expansion Pack as well as a DJM-900NXS2 updated with the latest firmware.
