Denon DJ has announced the introduction of its new SC5000M, a motorized platter DJ media player based on the innovative SC5000 Prime. The new SC5000M model is designed to bring DJs the true essence of vinyl-based turntable performance but combined with ultimate creative control over their digital music files.
Created for DJs who want motorized control on a pro media player, the SC5000M offers ultra-high-resolution platter response and an authentic vinyl experience. The large 7” platter offers two variable torque settings (low/high) and adjustable vinyl tension for slip/scratch control. It also boasts a unique feature called ‘Instant-Doubles’, which allows users to immediately duplicate their currently playing track, in its precise point in the timeline, onto another layer or deck—thus enabling even the most adventurous performers to get the best of both the vinyl and digital worlds!
In addition to its motorized platter, the SC5000M offers a 7” HD display that supports multi-touch gestures for digital file selection and manipulation as well as dual-layer playback with individual outputs and multifunction trigger pads for cues, loops, slices and rolls. The platters are also surrounded by customisable RGB LEDs and the player offers three USB inputs, an SD slot and a LAN link that allows up to four players to be networked together.
