You’ll know that feeling you have when something you fully expect to happen, finally happens. I got exactly that in October last year when our hugely talented and incredibly supportive sub-editor, Greg Cartwright, called me to let me know that it was time for him to move on.
PROFILE: Tony 'Cosmo' Caliandro
In 1986, when I was 11 years old, I was sat on the bus on the way to school. One of my friends was playing a mixtape, although I can’t remember who made it. It could’ve been a Mastermix, it could’ve been a DMC tape, but it got me hooked, as the transitions between each track seemed seamless. This is what got my juices flowing and got me interested in music.

It’s the start of a new year, and that usually coincides with a bit of a tidy-up at home. DIALOGUE WITH... Liam Osler (aka DJ L.I.AM)
Liam Osler is a 15-year-old DJ and guitarist who hails from King’s Lynn in Norfolk, and who is known to local audiences as DJ L.I.AM. Liam first came to our attention in 2021 when he was the recipient of a special Pro Mobile award – Young Inspiration of the Year – for his enterprising work during the Covid lockdowns. We thought it was about time we got in touch with him to see how his DJ career is going.
