Because when they aren’t serving as a soundtrack to last-minute shopping trips, these jolly jingles are working their way into the playlists of mobile DJs, ready those upcoming parties and events.
Fittingly, inside our latest issue (Pro Mobile 74 – out now) you’ll find a hilarious potted history of the Christmas number one. Written by Mastermix’s Richard Lee, the article contains a few facts that may come as a bit of a shock, as he explains how some classics that you thought topped the charts didn’t actually come close, and why the concept of the official ‘Christmas Number One’ isn’t as old as we all thought!
