Westend DJ and On The Rise collaborate again to create weDJ.
weDJ is a unique DJ expo, taking place over two days at the Novotel West in Hammersmith London, alongside the PhotoBooth Expo London*. weDJ is an event that connects DJs and music producers of all abilities with the very best technology, brands, knowledge and like-minded peers.
The whole weDJ expo is FREE to enter, and On The Rise have built a series of panels and workshops that are aimed at providing new skills and knowledge to help DJs and music producers. From the Be Heard broadcast panel through to the The Future of DJ Technology with Mojaxx (host of Beatsource Tech), as well as the London Something Podcast Live hosted by DJ Ron and our Guide To Remixing session with Tayylor Made - there's a wealth of knowledge to be shared with attendees. In addition, On The Rise will be delivering a series of DJ Workshops across the event, covering everything from the basics through to scratching.
The exhibitors have been selected to give attendees the opportunity to get hands on with the latest kit. Whether that’s a DJ controller, software to create mashups, a sound-system to launch an event or lights to enhance livestreams – the manufacturers will be on hand to answer any questions. There’s plenty for the PhotoBooth Expo London* crowd to explore, especially mobile DJs looking to enhance their current offering.
If that wasn’t enough, there are multiple chances to win – the Sunday Scratch Jam (which is sponsored by Technics), Hercules powered Controller Cuts contest and prize giveaways offer attendees the chance to win kit from a prize pot in excess of £13,000.

Why was weDJ created?
“We’ve teamed up with our partners, On The Rise, to fill a gap that I believe has been widening over recent years, as the trade shows for our industry have lost the vital connection to the DJs and music producers which they should serve. weDJ continues our community focused approach to improving access to DJing with a free expo aimed at connecting DJs and music producers with the tech, knowledge and like-minded peers to further their enjoyment of music.” explains Gavin James, (Director) from Westend DJ. Terry Ryan (Director) from On The Rise adds “As with everything I do at On The Rise, I wanted to both create something for our DJ community where they can learn, network and play, but also invite new DJ’s and producers in… to be part of this exciting and welcoming community. With my partners at Westend DJ we are focused on providing people with access and resources to help step up their game or just get the most out of their hobby. We agreed that the best way to do this was to make this 2-day event free to everyone and accessible to every level of DJ, as we have been doing for the last few years with our workshops, networking events and open decks. But now, we have turbo charged it!”
Full details and FREE tickets are available from the weDJ.co.uk website from August 28th 2024 at 11am.
*Please note that entry to the PhotoBooth Expo London and the Afterparty requires a separate ticket, purchased here: https://tickets.photoboothexpo.uk/event/photobooth-expo-london
