Pioneer DJ has announced a new monthly-subscription option for its recently launched rekordbox dj Plus Pack, which is available for upgrade from within the free rekordbox 4.0 software. The new pay plan will give mobile DJs affordable access to rekordbox dj's range of professional features following their initial 30-day free trial.
Launched back in October, the rekordbox dj Plus Pack is a paid-for extension of Pioneer’s popular rekordbox 4.0 software (free to download) that offers a range of new features and excellent sound quality. The performance features of rekordbox dj include hot cues, sampler, slicer, sound color FX, beat jump and the industry’s first pad FX, while the software also lets users prepare and play music from a single rekordbox library – ideal for mobile DJs that want an easy-to-use solution for preparing their sets.
Since October, rekordbox users have been able to upgrade to the rekordbox dj Plus Pack from within the software itself, enjoying a free 30-day trial, after which they could choose to purchase the Plus Pack outright for 139 euros. Now, DJs can opt to pay a rolling monthly fee in return for full access to rekordbox dj, paying 10.90 per month and opting out whenever they want. This flexible monthly option is great for mobile DJs who want to use the software for a short time, or are looking to extend their free trial before buying the software package outright.
As well as being equipped with a range of new performance features, the new rekordbox dj Plus Pack offers low latency and excellent sound quality, enhanced browsing capabilities, and a multi-screen option. The software also allows DJs to undertake detailed set preparation within rekordbox – adding cues, loops and tags as they go – and playback their music from the same library, meaning they can connect their laptop to a controller and get started instantly, without the need to transfer their music library into other software.
Mobile DJs will also be pleased to know that Pioneer DJ’s DDJ-RX and DDJ-RZ controllers come with rekordbox dj included, providing plug-and-play control at no extra cost. The software – which adapts itself to suit the hardware being used – is compatible with a range of Pioneer DJ products: CDJ-2000NXS, CDJ-2000, CDJ-900NXS, CDJ-900, CDJ-850, CDJ-350, CDJ-400, XDJ-1000, XDJ-700, XDJ-RX, XDJ-AERO, DDJ-RZ, DDJ-RX, DDJ-SZ, DDJ-SX2, DDJ-SX, DDJ-SR and DDJ-WeGO3.
