The first all-in-one PA system to feature an on-board iPad-enabled mixer, HK Audio has released its new LUCAS NANO 608i, providing mobile DJs with an extremely portable PA that can be easily stored away and is ideal for wedding ceremony music and speeches.
The new LUCAS NANO 608i is designed for use by mobile DJs who want to incorporate a compact, lightweight but good-quality PA into their portable setup. Consisting of two satellites (with 4.5” broadband woofer and 1” tweeter) and a 10” subwoofer, the system offers a max SPL of 130dB while its low-resonance bass enclosure features ‘anti-resonance bracing’ for clear low-end performance.
As well as its powerful output and distinct design – which sees the satellite speakers fit into the sub for easy portability – the new system boasts an 8-channel mixer with a built-in DSP preamp, FX section and Bluetooth audio streaming.
This mixer gives users access to a wide range of reverb programs, as well as intuitive EQ and compressor functions, allowing mobile DJs to get the sound just right for their clients, whether they’re playing music or setting up the system for wedding speeches. Furthermore, thanks to its Bluetooth compatibility, mobile DJs can enjoy remote wireless control over the mixer using their iPad (via a free dedicated app) or HK Audio’s separately sold LUCAS NANO remote.
HK Audio has also ensured that the LUCAS NANO 608i provides a range of inputs and outputs, letting mobile DJs easily their external hardware and microphones. Inputs include four XLR combos, two ¼” inputs, RCA/min jack and link-in for Twin Stereo mode; while outputs include speaker out, easy-click, record out, footswitch/aux send out, and link-out for Twin Stereo mode.
Also making the new LUCAS NANO 608i well-suited to use by mobile entertainers is its compact and lightweight design. Weighing in at 16.3kg, the PA delivers high levels of power while remaining compact enough to take on the road as part of the user’s mobile setup.
