The latest new addition to Prolight Concepts Group’s Equinox range is a feature-packed moving head that is perfect for large mobile DJ roadshows and small/medium-sized event production companies. Powered by an impressive 180W LED light source, the MS550 is ideal for creating mid-air beam effects and projecting GOBO patterns onto venue walls, ceilings, and floors.
With a beam angle of 13-degrees, the new Equinox MS550 offers a wide range of advanced features. It incorporates a wheel loaded with 7 dichroic colours + open and a separate wheel that holds 7 indexable rotating GOBOs. It is supplied with a useful set of patterns, however these can easily be replaced with custom GOBOs. It also offers Motorised Focus and Iris controls to allow GOBO projections to be kept sharp and the spot size to be narrowed to create intense beam effects.
The unit is also equipped with a 3-facet rotating prism, which can be used to multiply any GOBO to create wide-spread mesmerizing patterns, ideal for filling large surfaces with ambient colour and movement. Rounding out the MS550’s feature set are 0-100% dimming and variable speed strobe effects, making it suitable for a wide range of applications and events.
Fitted with locking PowerCON mains input and output sockets, this is a professional-calibre fixture that also features fan-cooling and a large backlit LCD display for mode selection and DMX addressing. The fixture features pre-programmed lightshows, which can be used for simple sound active and master/slave operation, and can also be controlled via DMX using 15 channels.
"This new moving head is competitively priced and with its outstanding output and features will appeal to both installers and DJs who want to take their show to the next level", said Bernie Marsh, General Manager for the Prolight Concepts Group.
The Equinox MS550 is available from Prolight Concepts Group stockists across the UK and Ireland now, priced at SSP £739 (inc. VAT).
