Providing mobile DJs with a low-cost and portable par solution for creating washes and uplighting in UV colours, the new Equinox MaxiPar Plus – which features an RGB+UV LED source – has now been released by the Prolight Concepts Group.
The MaxiPar Plus from Equinox is a compact par with a slim design, utilising five 5W quad-colour LEDs (RGB+UV) and a widespread 40⁰ beam angle to produce washes and uplighting in a range of UV colours, including hot pink and turquoise. As well as letting mobile DJs create widespread stages/dance-floor washes and UV uplighting for their weddings, parties and corporate dos, the MaxiPar Plus also offers a variable strobe, allowing users to add intensity to their lightshow when needed.
With a range of built-in programs to choose from, including colour-change, colour-fade and static colour, Equinox has ensured that the MaxiPar Plus lets DJs with even the most basic levels of lighting knowledge create eye-catching displays for their guests and audiences. While the quad-colour LEDs enable a range of smoothly mixed colours to be produced to match the themes of whichever event the user is working.
“This lightweight, slim RGB+UV profile par utilises the added UV to create a vibrant spectrum of colours, including hot pink and peacock blue,” explained Bernie Marsh, Prolight Concepts Group General Manager. “The versatile MaxiPar Plus is great value for money and suitable for a multitude of applications.”
In terms of control, users can select from various operational modes, including Auto Run, Sound Active and DMX. The sound-to-light and auto modes utilise the MaxiPar Plus’s built-in programs, while the DMX mode provides mobile DJs with access to 2-, 3-, 4- and 7-channel settings, allowing them to tailor their lightshow and get a little more creative. An optional IR remote is also available, enabling wireless control over the unit’s primary features and settings.
Designed to be flexible, Equinox has also ensured that users can position the MaxiPar Plus to suit their specific needs, whether providing venue uplighting or washing the stage or dance-floor in colour. The unit’s rubber feet offer secure positioning when the MaxiPar Plus is sitting flat on the floor, while the side-mounted DMX/power connections make it easy to connect multiple units for uplighting. The bracket, meanwhile, makes the product well-suited to multiple rigging or floor-standing applications.
Compact (205 x 230 x 115mm) and lightweight (1.05kg) too, the MaxiPar Plus gives DJs an affordable par solution that can be easily incorporated into their mobile setup, so they can take colour-UV lighting out on the road with them.
