Allen & Heath has announced the introduction of its Xone:43C DJ mixer. The new four-channel mixer, which is supported by the Serato DJ software, will act as a sister product to the recently launched Xone:43, with its range of new features providing mobile DJs with a gateway into digital DJing.
Building on the Xone:43, Allen & Heath has fitted the Xone:43C with a 16-channel internal USB soundcard that enables replay and recording from any DJ software, meaning mobile DJs can enjoy digital DJing with the controls of a traditional mixer. With the purchase of Serato DJ Club Kit, the Xone:43C will work plug n play with Serato DJ and is Serato DVS enabled, eliminating the need for an external interface (although full control of Serato Video is not support).
Thanks to its X:LINK connection, DJs can also connect the Xone:43C to any Xone:K series MIDI controller for a simple plug n play user experience, without the need to use additional USB ports. The mixer also boasts pre-mapped functions for controlling cues, loops and Serato DJ effects for up to four decks.
Much like its sister model, the Xone:43C utilises Allen & Heaths analogue Voltage Control Filter (VCF) system, offering high-pass, low-pass and band-pass filters, as well as frequency and mild to wild resonance controls, allowing mobile DJs to be more adventurous in their mixing. Also similar to the Xone:43 is its X:FX feature, which provides control over the send/return for each channel (for use with external FX units) and can be routed to the Xone filter in order to add layers of filters and effects.
Were really excited to develop our collaboration with Serato. The new Xone:43C offers a simple plug n play 4-channel mixer solution, to create powerful DVS setups simply by purchasing the Serato DJ Club Kit. Weve designed the 43C with all the essentials and club integration you need for a fluid mixing experience, said Xone product manager, Greg Ibbotson.
In addition to four phono/line and USB channels, the Xone:43C features a flexible mic/aux input, which offers XLR/RCA phono connectors and 2-band EQ for tonal balance. So, mobile DJs that wish to connect a secondary input can, while MCs, quiz hosts and DJs can connect a microphone and adjust the EQ for a suitable tone.
Offering reliability and good sound, the main mix output and mic input are provided on professional standard balanced XLRs. The mixer is also equipped with a comprehensive headphone monitoring section, offering 3.5mm and -inch headphone sizes, with control over level and cue/mix, as well as the option for split cue monitoring. Just like the Xone:43, the Xone:43C also features a cross-fader with three curve settings.
The Xone:43C from Allen & Heath is shipping now at an SSP of 799.
