UDG has furthered its entry level range of Urbanite DJ/producer equipment bags with a new addition. The Urbanite MIDI Controller Backpack is a convenient one-bag solution for DJs that want to safely transport their DJ MIDI controller, laptop, hard drive and other accessories from gig to gig.
Where the new product differs from others in the range is its backpack design, which enables the user to carry equipment conveniently on their back, leaving their hands free, making it well-suited to mobile DJs that regularly carry gear in and out of venues.
The MIDI Controller Backpack is available in medium and large sizes, with the smaller bag having been designed to carry the Numark NV, Pioneer DDJ-SB, Native Instruments Maschine Studio and Traktor S2/S4 Mk2 controllers, and the larger version capable of fitting the Native Instruments Traktor S8, Numark N4/NS6 or Pioneers DDJ-SX2/SR and XDJ-R1 controllers.
As well as its main compartment, the MIDI Controller Backpack gives mobile DJs access to an additional side compartment that can store a laptop up to 19 in size, while two pockets on the front of the bag offer storage space for extra accessories such as hard drives, headphones and cables. These pockets have extra padding for added protection and are fitted with easy-grip zips. The main compartment includes the same customisable and adjustable foam inserts found in products across the Urbanite series, allowing users to adjust the space to suit the exact shape of their controller.
Adding to the flexibility of its product, UDG has provided users with a four-way carrying system, giving DJs the choice between top or side hand grips, padded shoulder straps (which can be disconnected and stored inside the bag when not in use), and adjustable chest and hip straps. The latter is especially helpful for DJs carrying heavy gear in and out of venues.
As part of the Urbanite series, UDG has ensured that the MIDI Controller Backpack meets its standards of durability and comfort, while the bags exterior is made of water repellent, laminated 600D polyester to offer further protection against bad weather and moisture.
The MIDI Controller Backpack is available now at SSPs from 134.99.
