At the BPM | PRO exhibition last year UK accessories supplier Novopro showcased many new products, but one item that particularly generated great interest was the PS1XL. This is the latest incarnation of the unique PS1 variable-height podium / plinth stand, which is now available from Novopro dealers across the UK.
The PS1XL takes the concept of the flat-pack, adjustable-height podium pioneered by Novopro to new levels – extending from 990mm to 1750mm – and features a unique ‘turn ’n’ lock’ system to fix the height securely into place. This updated version is also much more stable and solid than previous models and comes in at 17kg, making it very sturdy in operation but portable for transport and storage.
Quick-release thumb bolts and standard bolts (for permanent fixing) are supplied along with Velcro cable management ties and non-slip, sticky-backed foam pads to keep equipment in place – all within the package. The PS1XL sells for £129 each and also includes both black and white scrims, carry bags and a 35mm top-hat adaptor, enabling the podium to easily turn into a speaker stand.
